A 'good' Ofsted report

Parents and pupils will already know that the school was visited by a team of Ofsted inspectors on the 15th and 16th January. At last we are now able to release the full final report to everyone and enjoy the recognition that it gives.

Even though Ofsted teams are now following a new tougher inspection regime, the visiting inspectors were clear that Lydiard Park Academy is a 'good school' in every sense, saying that 'pupils make good progress' and that 'the school is a safe, harmonious place where ambition and drive are valued and rewarded.'
The inspection team were very thorough and tough to please, making their final verdict all the more satisfying. They were also clear in their verbal feedback that the school has improved significantly since becoming an Academy, and also stated that opening a sixth form was exactly what the school now needed to be able to drive ambition and achievement even further forwards.

The new full report can be accessed via this link.
