Advice and Guidance Links

Lydiard Park Academy are committed to the implementation of the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks.

Benchmark 8

This page is dedicated to the understanding of ‘Benchmark 8’.

According to the Gatsby Foundation: –

“Every pupil should have opportunities for guidance interviews with a careers adviser, who could be internal (a member of school staff) or external, provided they are trained to an appropriate level. These should be available whenever significant study or career choices are being made. They should be expected for all pupils but should be timed to meet their individual needs.”

To ensure delivery of this Benchmark, LPA will commit to ensuring every pupil will have at least one such interview by the age of 16, and the opportunity for a further interview by the age of 18.

To support additional knowledge and understanding, this page contains links to a variety of providers who can offer up to the minute information, guidance and advice for Parents, Pupils and teachers alike.
