Ovid in the West Country Finalists

This term, a group of KS3 students completed the ‘Ovid in the West Country’ competition. Fred R (Year 7), Chloe K (Year 8) and Laura V and Hannah S (Year 8 joint entry) submitted some incredible creative pieces and were finalists.

We were invited to the prize giving ceremony at the Roman Baths this afternoon, where we were able to handle artefacts, listen to some wonderful storytelling and explore the Roman Baths themselves!

Fred and Chloe were awarded a merit, while Laura and Hannah won a special commendation and a goodie bag each! These students, as well as others from Year 9 and 10, are now going on to compete in the Olympus Challenge. Very well done to all.

Anyone still interested in completing the Ovid challenge should see Miss Smith in B2.9.
