Our PSHE curriculum has been built with the aim to support the development of the 'whole child', by helping them to understand how they are developing emotionally, physically and socially.
Pupils are taught by tutors on a rolling rota with 5 timetabled hours per term, as well as a variety of events throughout the year. Pupils are encouraged to make informed decisions about health, economic wellbeing and career choices.
Pupils cover the three core topics: Health and Wellbeing, Sex and Relationships and Living in the Wider World. Within these topics pupils will explore British Values and SMSC issues as well as covering the statutory RSE, Citizenship and Careers programme.
Pupils are provided with opportunities to reflect on, clarify their own values and attitudes, and explore the complex and conflicting range of values and attitudes encountered now and in the future.
