Lydiard Park Academy Recognised by Ofsted for Continued Excellence 

Lydiard Park Academy is proud to announce that it has maintained its Good rating after a recent Ofsted inspection. 

The Academy continues to be recognised for its commitment to excellence and is a consistently trusted choice for families with inspectors praising the school's “broad and ambitious curriculum”.

"The whole academy is thrilled to see our efforts being recognised by Ofsted and key to the continuing success of the school is the ongoing support from our pupils, parents and the wider community," said Academy Principal, Gary Pearson. "We are committed to maintaining high standards of academic achievement while creating a safe and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive and reach their full potential."

The latest Ofsted report highlights how staff work tirelessly to provide a well-rounded education that prepares pupils for success in their future and the team of inspectors noted that: “Staff talk with passion about how the contributions they make to the running of the school are making a difference for pupils.”

"We are constantly seeking new ways to enhance the educational experience for our pupils and to ensure that they have access to the resources and support they need to excel," added Mr Pearson “We are particularly pleased the Ofsted inspectors praised how well we prepare our pupils for the next stages of their education - be that our excellent 6th form or higher education once they leave us.”  

The report highlights that “The extensive individual guidance received by students in the sixth form means that they are aspirational about their ambitions when they leave the school.”

As Lydiard Park Academy continues to be rated as a Good school by Ofsted, in its first inspection since the pandemic, the academy looks forward to building on its success and making a positive impact in the lives of pupils for years to come.
