Ovid in the West Country

On Wednesday, four pupils from LPA (Freddie L, Evie L, Bethany W and Layla T) were invited to the Ovid in the West Country prize giving ceremony, held by Classics for All and Bristol Uni at the prestigious Wills Hall.

As well as winning two prizes for the school for outstanding creative pieces from Freddie and Evie, Evie was announced as the overall winner for the competition, beating over 100 entries from the south west to claim the top prize! A very well done to all those that worked hard on their creative pieces in response to Greek myths- the standard this year was exceptional.

Myths and Legends will continue to run every Tuesday and Year 7 students will be moving onto The Iliad-  there’s still time to join and work on the Olympus Challenge!
