19.10.21 Fun Learning in MFL There has been a lot of fun and learning happening in MFL (Foreign Languages) over the last term. On top of being back in our own area and having the opportunity to brighten up our surroundings with some engaging displays – pupils celebrated with us the European Day of Languages in late September. There were pupils doing treasure hunts, role plays and trips to Shaw Ridge to describe where places in a town are located. There has been food tasting and consolidating clothes vocab via mock fashion shows, French food, Japanese club and learning some basic German for the first time! Fun was had by all. Just before the end of the term our Y10 GCSE French class have been improving their knowledge and understanding of some key French historical figures. Firstly, we looked at Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables which we have been watching after school. Next is French Pop! Deepening the cultural and language appreciation of our pupils is what it has all been about this term, all whilst having a bunch of FUN!
