28.03.22 World Book Day Last week, we celebrated a belated World Book Day at LPA- students participated in a number of activities, including ‘Drop Everything and Read’, quizzes and lessons centred around reading. The day also included some brilliantly dressed book characters! We also have smashed our Readathon target with still two weeks to go- LPA students have clocked up an impressive 15,695 minutes of logged reading so far – WOW! As well as prizes being awarded at the end of term for tutor group efforts, most sessions logged and challenging texts being read, our LPA teachers have been on the hunt for some reading superstars. This week, Jess W (Year 7), Toby E (Year 8), Isaac N (Year 8), Phoenix B (Year 9), Alicia A (Year 9) and Miriam D (Year 9) were nominated by teachers as having an excellent attitude to reading, receiving an R2, a certificate and a sweet treat! Could this be you next week….? Latest Articles: Junior UKMT Challenge 2025 Junior UKMT Challenge 2025 Congratulations to our 20 pupils who have participated in the Junior UKMT...
