Year 7 Apetito Visit and Careers Project

A group of year 7 pupils have been working hard in class and at home on a careers project this term which has led them to visit the site of Apetito to present and discuss their project.

Apetito, a care home food provider located in Trowbridge, set the class a project based on how they use percentages and maths in their daily tasks. All pupils split into different offices to analyse and make decisions on products and marketing in different regions of the country.

To conclude the project, pupils had a visit to Apetito to tour the factory and offices, discuss new marketing methods for their new finger food range and had the opportunity to present their projects to a group of employees at the office.

The year 7 pupils represented Lydiard Park Academy in a mature and enthusiastic manner which impressed the employers, and LPA staff Miss McCaig, Mrs Brown and Mr Embling.

Well done for your hard work and demonstrating team work, decision making and application of maths in the real world.
