Young Citizens Mock Trials

This was the first time 12 to 14 year olds from LPA had been involved in the Young Citizens Mock Trials competition and we were so proud of them all. We came away with two cups which was a fantastic reflection of the incredibly hard work everyone put in to prepare for the day. They did an amazing job defending and prosecuting other schools and we are already looking forward to next year! We aim to continue our after school club on Fridays in the summer term and will welcome all other budding legal beagles to join us.

Cup winners were Fin and Annabel from Year 9!

A big thank you to the magistrate who gave up his time to mentor us through the process - Simon Trott and Linda Raine and Vicky Drew who organised the event including helping us visit the courts to observe proceedings as well as the wonderful competition day itself. All magistrates involved on the day were volunteers and we very much appreciate their commitment to this event.
